Redwood Tree Pictures

Happily Ever After Day...

Today was awesome! Jason, Christopher and I went down to the beach and had a picnic supper on the sand by the cliffs. The weather today was so great...it's the first day we've had no clouds in sight since we arrived here in Pacifica. The water was so blue and the waves were covered with white foam. After dinner, Jason and I walked for several hours while Christopher slept in my arms. After watching the sunset, we headed home.

Christopher rolled over for the first time today! He is growing so fast. He is much more aware of things happening around him and now tracks me all over the house with his big blue eyes! Jason and I love to tickle him and hear his cute little giggle. Christopher especially responds to Jason. It is so cool to watch Christopher's eyes light up whenever Jason talks to him.

Well...off to read and pray with Jason...catch you all tomorrow!

Big Trees - New School - Big City

Well, on Monday we went to see the Redwood Trees! They are so huge!!! The largest was 40 ft wide! Jason's Dad got a really cool picture of Jason, Christopher and I on the tree. It was so great to see these trees. It's something I've wanted to do for a long time . . . ever since my Mom would tell me stories of them. It's really cool to be seeing all the things she told us about California when we were growing up.

Tuesday we took Jason's Dad to the airport and then headed into the city by ourselves for the first time. We took BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) into the city . . . what a great experience. :) Then Christopher and I wandered around the Financial District of the city while Jason met with a couple of people from his new School, the Academy of Art. He then met up with me and we had a sandwich at an awesome cafe and walked around for about an hour. Christopher was such a good little guy this afternoon and especially loved it when Dad (Jason) held him as we walked around the city.

Well...gotta go get some sleep. Christopher's been up allot tonight...hungry, growing boy!

Pacifica, CA!!!

Well, we made it! Two weeks later we are finally getting settled into our new place. It's awesome here! Christopher and I have already gotten into a daily routine of walking on the beach. Yesterday on our little adventure at the beach we saw a seal! It was a huge one...about as big as me!

It's allot colder here than I thought it would be. I imagined Sunny, Warm California...but here in the north it's a bit cool. Coming from a 100 degree 100% humidity Virginia didn't make it seem any warmer here! :) From what I've been told though, it generally stays between 60-70 degrees year round. Tough life huh?

Our apartment is only two blocks from the beach and overlooking Sharp Park Golf Course. It's such an awesome view! I'll post pictures soon...we are still trying to get everything working on these computers.

We miss you all so much on the East Coast and are really looking forward to visiting you all over the Christmas Season! May God bless you all!

Our New Adventure!

WOW!!! It's hard to believe this is our last night in Stafford as a family... Tomorrow Christopher and I are going on a weekend retreat and Grandpa Manak and Dad will load the truck on Saturday and pick us up on Sunday ... Then we will begin our trip across country. Christopher and I will fly to Denver on Thursday and then on to our new home in Pacifica on the following Sunday. We are all looking forward to seeing our new home and going for a rosary walk on the Pacific Beach!!!

Christopher is talking and smiling a lot ... he is such a joy admist this time of boxes, paper and tape! :) We are all looking forward to being settled again and helping Christopher get on a good schedule. He is such a good baby and has put up well with all the stress moving has brought. :)

Please keep us in your prayers this week! We will let you know how the move goes in a couple weeks! May God bless you all!
